TODAY'S TOP TIP: High School Transcripts

Q: I've been told that a final, official high school transcript must be provided. What does that mean, and how do I check whether or not it has been received?

Many students apply while still completing high school and are permitted to move forward at FSW with an incomplete transcript while we await their graduation. A final, official transcript (one sent directly by the high school that includes your graduation date) is required to disburse financial aid or allow you to register past your first semester.

If you indicate a Florida Public High School on your application, we request transcripts automatically, but sometimes errors occur if we cannot match the information on your FSW admissions application with your high school records. If you are contacted by admissions or financial aid to request your high school transcript, please do so as our automated request may not have been able to fetch your transcript.

What Would You Do with More Money?

More for your first day. More for your future. More for whatever comes next.

Because FSW tuition has remained unchanged since 2014, students can pursue their goals without paying more than they need to. Whether you're earning a degree, gaining career-ready skills, or preparing to transfer, FSW helps you invest in your future while keeping more money in your pocket.

FSW is for students who want:

  • An affordable path to a degree or certificate
  • Flexible class options that fit busy schedules
  • Career-focused programs that lead somewhere
  • A college experience where they are more than just a number

Keep more of what you earn. Invest in where you're going.

What Type of Student Are You?

We know you are Buccaneer material, we just need to know a little bit more so we can guide you through your next steps.

I received a message stating that I have been provisionally admitted to FSW. What does that mean?

Provisional admission means that, based on the information we have, you would likely meet the qualifications to be accepted to FSW. You must complete the indicated application to confirm your interest and meet all admission requirements to be fully admitted into the college.

Receipt of provisional admission/acceptance does not guarantee admission to Florida SouthWestern State College or any of our programs.
